Brand Identity & Social Media
PILOU
Making Finance Feel Human
Role: Social Media & Brand Designer (Internship) Context: First professional role — Pilou, Mexican wealthtech platform for women Year: 2023

Pilou is a Mexican wealthtech platform built to empower women with financial freedom through accessible investment and education. When I joined as an intern, the Instagram communicated none of that. The page was inconsistent, lacked a clear visual language, and didn't reflect what the founders actually wanted the brand to feel like. My job was to fix all of it.
What I built:
New color palette and visual identity that felt warm, human and approachable rather than cold and corporate
A collage-based communication style that turned complex financial concepts into content people actually wanted to engage with fun, creative, and never intimidating
Full brand book covering color rules, typography, logo usage, photography style and tone of voice, so the brand could stay consistent across every touchpoint going forward
Design of all printed and digital visual materials: posts, stories, event graphics, presentations and everything in between
Contribution to the planning and visual execution of Pilou's social events, community gatherings that brought the brand to life in person.
The result was visible. Followers grew, the company grew, and for the first time the Instagram actually looked and felt like Pilou.
This was my first job. I showed up, took ownership of the whole visual world of a real company, and left it in better shape than I found it.
