UAL ART AUCTION
Editorial Poster Design for the University of the Arts London
Role: Graphic Designer
Context: Exchange semester, University for the Creative Arts, UK
Year: 2024

During my exchange semester in the UK, a friend who was president of the UAL Society asked me to design the posters for their annual art auction. The brief was minimal: a few references for inspiration and the information that needed to be there. Everything else was mine to decide.
I designed two poster directions, both built around the same visual language: oversized bold typography in tension with archival photographic collages. The images are vintage, editorial, slightly surreal, layer beneath and through the text, creating a push and pull between what you read and what you see. The typography doesn't frame the image. It lives inside it.
The aesthetic was a deliberate nod to the UAL environment: a space where art, print culture and conceptual thinking coexist. The posters needed to feel like they belonged on those walls not like a generic event flyer, but like something a student would stop and actually look at.
The art auction was a success. The posters worked.
